Hi all, here is an update on where I am with my x7 restoration, many thanks to MACCA I bought the x7 frame he put me onto, as I was told it had no v5 but I was assured by the seller all was ok with it. I applied for the registration v5 from the dvla using the frame number and sent a letter and the payment. Just before Xmas the v5 arrived in my name, pleased as punch as it's registered June 1978 on a S reg with only 3 previous owners, I believe the first demonstrators were delivered to dealers in May 1978 so it must have been one of the early ones on the road in the uk. Once I removed all the rusted bolts from the frame I took it to my painters with all the other parts for black painting, hopefully these will be done in January. Now for a rolling chassis I need a pair of front forks, can anyone help? I'll keep you informed on my progress. julian.g
