Hi
HI all, Thanks for the tip about this site Jet.
Hope it goes well and grows into a nice friendly site. South Yorkshire based here with basically 2 X7's. One was on the road, till I decided to have a good old re-bore etc, and a repaint from wrong Mk2 red to correct MK1 white with black stripes.
Painwork all done, but noticed crankcase damage when the engine was on the bench. The sprocket has been moving and has "milled" the cases away, I though I'd get away with a new output shaft which looked worn on the splines, but now it looks like the damage may have gone too far into a seal area!. Got a set of cases on the shelf though, and thse have been blast cleaned so it should make a nice good looking lump once I find the time.
The other bike is all power coater ready to be assembled, but now I'll be a set of cases short, but never mind once I build the 2nd bike which should be very close to mint, I'll swap the running engin into it, the other then can be a project ongoing!.
Don't neeed many parts really, but there is bound to be the odd bit!!, I should have some bits spare as well, as I wont need this many gearbox's and cluch parts! or forks!.
Anyway it's great to see a new forum for us, thank to the creator!. Hope we can all have a good Northern meeet up soon, although it's looking like spring now for me!
Cheers to all.
regards
John
